Continuing to fool the International stage

Qurei' warns of catastrophe if the International Conference fails RAMALLAH, September 3, 2007 (RNA) – Palestinian former PM, Ahmad Qurei', warned of catastrophe in case that the expected International Conference failed. "We must prepare very well for this conference, because we need effective results, if it fails we will have a catastrophe," Qurei' said after meeting with the Leader of the Swedish Socialist Party, Ms. Mona Sahlin, Monday in Ramallah. Qurei' said that the international imminent "meeting" is "essential" for the Palestinian people who is so optimistic and eager to get rid of the daily suffer. In her first visit to the Palestinian territories, the Head of Swedish Socialist Party called for ending the Palestinian misery, and supporting the Palestinian people

Another old strategy. Get Israel, ever the naive participant, to put down on paper what it will do before an upcoming event without the Palestinians having to "commit" to anything. Here is the the old but tired and true action being played out on the world stage. It is an attempt to foster international support for Israel stating what it will do without the PA having to negotiate at all. I will observe carefully the responses from abroad.
