and the attacks continue

6 Qassams land in Negev; no injuries reported Palestinians in north Gaza fired six Qassam rockets toward the western Negev on Monday. No injuries were reported.

The al-Quds Brigades, Islamic Jihad's military wing, claimed responsibility for the attacks. "The barrage was part of our decision to point our weapons only toward Israel," the group said in a statement.

Two rockets landed near the Erez Crossing, another hit the Yad-Mordechai Junction area, while a fourth landed in close proximity to a kibbutz in the Sha'ar Hanegev Regional Council.

Security forces were still searching for the landing sites of two additional Qassams.

Two fires broke out as a result of the rocket fire – one near an avocado grove and another near Nativ Ha'asarah.

Sderot Mayor Eli Moyal, who resumed office after taking a leave of absence due the police investigation against him, told Ynet, "I do not see a change in our situation. We're maintaining a certain level of alertness even if during a period of relative calm."
