SO IT IS ALL A LIE

In the magazine Israel Today (July 29, 2013) my friend Ryan Jones wrote about the renewal of the so-called peace negotiations that have just been held in Washington DC.

It is truly remarkable and, at the same time, deeply disturbing, that those who have believed in this notion - that there is any real wish for peace on the Palestinian side - have been so blinded by their own repeated deception that they are unable or unwilling to see the truth when it is right in front of their eyes!

Here is Ryan's article headlined "PA minister: New peace talks will help us conquer Israel later."

There are more than a few in the Palestinian Authority who are upset over the pending renewal of peace talks with Israel. Hamas in particular believes the move to be a detriment to the Palestinian cause.

But Palestinian Authority Minister of Religious Affairs Mahmoud Al-Habbash reassured everyone last week that the political peace process is just a ruse, and part of a larger scheme to defeat their enemy.

It appears that America decided to acquiesce to the Palestinian demand that in order for Israel to show “good faith” for starting the peace process, Israel must be required to release 104 seasoned terrorists killers with a long history of blood on their hands. The Palestinians need these people to go free as a condition to making peace?

Please see the extreme irony in this outrageous demand.

If the Palestinians sincerely wanted peace, wouldn’t they want those who are the most “devilish” destroyers of peace, the most dangerous and out of control wonton killers of innocent Jewish men, women and children to remain in prison and not be an extreme threat to possible peaceful co-existence?

If America was interested in making peace, wouldn’t it want the “best” sociopathic bomb makers and bomb detonators to be prevented from walking free, capable to exercise and perform their finely honed life destroying talents whenever they so please?

Danon: Livni Won't Think About Judea and Samaria

As Israeli and Palestinian Authority negotiators met in Washington to restart peace talks, Deputy Defense Minister Danny Danon (Likud) was in the U.S. as well, presenting his own view on the talks.

Danon, who also heads the Likud Central Committee, visited the offices of 5W Public Relations in New York, where he warned that Judea and Samaria had no representation at the talks.

“I don’t like the fact that Tzipi Livni is the chief negotiator of the State of Israel along with Abu Alaa and Martin Indyk,” Danon stated during the meeting. “Who is representing us? Who thinks about the Jews who are living in Judea and Samaria? No one! It was proven that all of them, in the past 10 years, were willing to sign agreements that were bad for Israel.”

He admitted that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu could legally take an agreement with the Palestinian Authority and bring it to a referendum, bypassing the Likud Central Committee.

Dear MK Shamir,

Pursuing a failed process only encourages more demands of Israel and we appear weak in the eyes of the international community.

 

Pres. Obama is a failed leader both domestically and internationally and is pressuring Israel for his legacy.

US President Barack Obama met privately on Tuesday with lead Israeli and Palestinian negotiators the day after they restarted long-stalled peace negotiations in Washington, a White House official said.
The meeting at the White House came after Israeli and Palestinian negotiators held their first peace talks in nearly three years on Monday in a US-brokered effort that US Secretary of State John Kerry hopes will end their conflict despite deep divisions.

 The negotiators held bilateral meetings on Tuesday at the State Department.

Obama has so far stood back from the process, leaving it to Kerry to lead the effort to bring Israelis and Palestinians to the table.

After 30 years of hesitation, the European Union timidly admitted that Hezbollah’s armed wing was a terror organization. Catherine Ashton, who is in charge of EU foreign policy, hastened to say that this measure would in no way impact the ongoing dialogue between the EU and the organization. Or in other words for the EU, Hezbollah is a political party which may have strayed from the straight and narrow by setting up an “armed wing,” but can be made to see the error of its ways through “moderate pressure.”

Facts tell a different story. Hezbollah was created by Iran’s Khomeini in the early Eighties as a terror organization to serve as a stepping stone for that country’s ambition to export its “Islamic Revolution” to the Middle East – that is, to establish a Islamic Shi’ite regime led by Iran.

On July 17^th, the leader of Pakistan's "Tehriru Taliban," Adnan Rashid, managing to make headlines around the world, apologized to Malala Yousufzai. She received a special message on her 16th birthday, July 12. She had given a moving speech at the UN on how the Taliban wanted to kill her because, despite widespread discrimination against women in Pakistan, she had wanted to go to school and learn. She urged children not get caught up in fear, but rise up against the ban on education. The UN, perhaps forgetting that this was a criticism of the Islamic world, responded with an enormous round of applause.

Abu Mazen's future apartheid 'state': Not one Jew in 'Palestine'

'Moderate' 'Palestinian' President Mahmoud Abbas Abu Mazen  told reporters in Egypt on Monday that his vision for 'Palestine' does not include a single Jew.

Abbas said that no Israeli settlers or border forces could remain in a future Palestinian state and that Palestinians deem illegal all Jewish settlement building within the land occupied in the 1967 Six Days War.

"In a final resolution, we would not see the presence of a single Israeli - civilian or soldier - on our lands," Abbas said in a briefing to mostly Egyptian journalists.

Enough Talking About Talks

Secretary of State John Kerry is to be highly commended for his tireless efforts to persuade the Israelis and Palestinians to resume peace negotiations soon in Washington. Although the prospect of success of these negotiations is very slim, if there is any opportunity for a breakthrough, it will ultimately depend not only on major concessions both sides must make, but also on other critical elements, without which the prospect of success stands at zero.

I am not entirely sanguine that either the Palestinian Authority's President Mahmoud Abbas or Israel's Prime Minister Netanyahu are ready, willing or able to make peace.
Netanyahu is an ideologue who does not really believe in a two-state solution, or at any rate, not one that would be established in most of the West Bank. From his perspective, Israel's historic and biblical claim to the entire "land of Israel," which includes the West Bank, is a given, if not divinely ordained, leaving little room for significant territorial compromises.

What you did by agreeing to release more than 100 Arab prisoners who have been convicted of crimes including multiple murders is beyond wrong. It is shameful. It is disgusting. It is immoral. And it is stupid.


I admit that I am shocked. I admired you. I thought that you learned Zionism from your father, and I know that you put your body on the line more than once for the state of Israel. So how could you do it?

Thoughts on the Release of 104 Palestinian Murderers

Israeli leaders have a long history of making lopsided trades with their Arab enemies. These include:

1985 – 1,150 prisoners for 3 captured Israelis
2000 – 450 Arab prisoners for 3 Israeli bodies and a kidnapped Israeli;
2008 – 5 Arab prisoners (including the psychopath Samir al-Kuntar) and 199 Arab bodies for 2 Israeli bodies;
2011 – 1,027 Palestinian prisoners for Gilad Schalit.

I strenuously opposed these unbalanced exchanges (e.g., the Schalit one), even as I acknowledged the honorable Israeli intent not to abandon soldiers.
But there is nothing redeeming whatsoever in the exchange that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu proposed today, releasing 104 murderers as a good-will gesture to encourage the Palestinian Authority to negotiate. Netanyahu justified this decision on the basis that "sometimes prime ministers are forced to make decisions that go against public opinion - when the issue is important for the country."

As Secretary of State Kerry is maintaining his push for renewed negotiations between the State of Israel and the Palestinian Authority, attention is as always drawn to the presence or not of preconditions set by the Palestinians. These demands are in fact meant to precede the start of any substantial talk that may or may not lead to enhanced peace negotiations.

If there is absolutely no doubt that the questions relating to borders, Palestinian populations living in Arab countries, the status of Jerusalem and the development of housing and infrastructure projects in Judea and Samaria need to be fully addressed and answered clearly to make of any deal a lasting one, it is also absolutely true that these points are in no way the preconditions to peace, they are in fact the results of peace.

The Almagor terror victims' organization has sent Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu a letter, on behalf of families whose loved ones were murdered in terrorist attacks, in which it protests his decision to release 104 terrorists in advance of peace talks with the Palestinian Authority.

In the letter, the families accuse Netanyahu of caving, once again, to demands from the international community in order to enter peace negotiations.

"Netanyahu in his letter to the public tries to explain his capitulation to terrorism and his alarming willingness to release more murderers with blood on their hands. These are the most heinous killers,” wrote Almagor.
