What Agreements with PA are Really Worth?

by David Lev

Lieberman told the diplomats that throughout the four years that the current government has served, Israel has numerous times sought to restart talks with the PA - always to be put off, delayed, dodged, or outright rejected. And not only did the PA do everything it could to avoid talks - it arrogantly blamed the fact that no talks were taking place on Israel. "Their entire plan is to upset Israel's standing in the international community," Lieberman said.

Lieberman also discussed the renewed rocket terror attacks on southern Israel by Gaza Arab terrorists, and especially the fact that PA chief Mahmoud Abbas has not bothered to condemn the attacks, much less to take steps to end the rocket fire from territory of which he is supposed to be in charge. "This again poses the question who Abbas even represents among Palestinians, what his responsibility is for what has been happening, and what our agreements with him are worth altogether," Lieberman said. (The same game was played by Arafat, but the Israeli government is still unwilling to end the stupid game!)

Bigots did not Call for Restraint
when 100s of Rockets were Fired from Gaza
World leaders have urged Israel to show restraint after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu threatened to "expand" military operations in the Gaza Strip following its assassination of a Hamas leader. US President Barack Obama and UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon both telephoned Mr Netanyahu ahead of an urgent UN Security Council meeting on the deteriorating situation.
The Israeli trio (Netanyahu, Barak and Lieberman) are reexamining their plan to launch a ground offensive now in view of strong pressure from US President Barack Obama - although he solidly supported the Israeli operation until now. (Obama's talk is cheap - backstabbing is heavy!)
Enough - Remove Enemy Population from Gaza!
Benjamin Netanyahu says Israel cannot tolerate continued rocket attacks against its citizens. Defence Minister Ehud Barak said the operation in Gaza was far from over. He said airstrikes had already inflicted heavy damage, taking out most of Hamas' long-range missile capabilities.
50 rockets were fired from Gaza on Wednesday night, 14 Nov - of which Iron Dome intercepted 17 - after an Israeli air assault killed the Hamas military chief Ahmed Jabari and destroyed dozens of missile sites. The rockets were fired at Beersheba, Ashdod and Eshkol.
Tel Aviv commuters run for shelter as an air raid siren sounds. Earlier another rocket struck close to the city of Rishon Lezion, 22 miles north of Gaza. The Israeli military said nearly 150 rockets were fired from Gaza on Thursday, one of which struck a block of flats, killing three residents and wounding three children. (During this year, before Israel began its offensive, over 800 rockets were fired at Israel from Gaza)
According to statistics published by the IDF on Saturday night as the fourth day of Operation Pillar of Defense ended, 824 rockets have been fired at Israel, 243 of which were intercepted by the Iron Dome anti-missile system. 100 of those rockets have landed in Gaza. At the same time, IAF aircraft, using precise intelligence, have succeeded in hitting no less than 900 terrorist targets in the four days of the operation.
Food for Thought by Steven Shamrak
The United States is planning to make Puerto Rico, which previously belonged to Mexico and was occupied by the US in 1895, its new state. No protests! In 1949 the same was done to another occupied and disputed land - Hawaii! In 1967 Israel , conducting defencive war against several neighbouring countries, freed Jewish land (Judea , Samaria and Gaza) from almost two decades of Muslim/Arab occupation, in compliance with international law. And yet, the international bigots do not declare them as an integral part of Israel. Isn't this a clear display of international duplicity and anti-Semitic hypocrisy?
PA officials believe that five (5) European Union countries openly support unilateral bid to upgrade PA's status to non-member state, with seven (7) others also set to take the same stand. A draft affirms a Palestinian state based on pre-1967 lines. Israel has urged the Palestinians to immediately resume negotiations rather than seek unilateral recognition at the UN.
Egyptian security authorities are seriously taking threats by a radical Salafist jihadist leader to demolish the Great Sphinx and the pyramids of Giza. "The idols and statues that fill Egypt must be destroyed. Muslims are tasked with applying the teachings of Islam and removing these idols, just like we did in Afghanistan when we smashed the Buddha statues," said Murgan Salem al-Gohary. (In their mindless and hateful drive against anything non-Islamic, even the pyramids of Giza are targeted!)
Israel Must End Travesty of 'Ceasefires'
Most Palestinian groups met in Gaza City Monday night, 12 Nov, to approve a ceasefire after three days of almost 300-rocket assault on Israel. But the Salafists stayed away, instead firing five (5) heavy Grad rockets against Netivot, Beersheba and Ofakim. Yet Israeli politicians still delude themselves that a ceasefire can work - although Israel's top command reckoned it would collapse within days. (And, it did!)
Time for the UN to Condemn Hamas
In the wake of the ongoing rocket fire by Gaza-based terrorists in southern Israel, Israel 's ambassador to the United Nations, Ron Prosor, sent a letter of complaint to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and to the UN Security Council. "Hamas and other terrorist organisations in Gaza have fired more than 150 rockets in recent days," Prosor wrote. He urged the international community to take responsibility and speak out against Hamas. "At this critical moment," he wrote, "your duty is clear. You must send a message to Hamas and condemn the terrorist attacks before it's too late." (The UN never needs any persuasion to condemn Israel - over 50% of all UN resolutions prove it! But international anti-Semites are always slow to rebuke Muslim terrorists, especially when they are trying to kill Jews!)
The Oslo Accords between the PLO and Israel will cease to exist the day after the UN votes in favour of upgrading the status of a Palestinian state to non-member, said Abbas Zaki, member of the Fatah Central Committee. (The Oslo Accords expired long time ago. PA has never abided by the agreement! It is time for Israel to formally revoke the useless Accords and impose a  full economic and political blockade on the PA terrorist entity and drive its terror infested population out of Jewish land!)
Fighting Islamic Terror - the British Way
After seven years of extradition fighting the UK government lost its appeal against a court ruling barring the radical Islamist cleric Abu Qatada's, Osama bin Laden's right hand man in Europe, deportation on the grounds that he would not get a fair trial in Jordan where he was convicted in absentia for two bomb plots. (The same legal system has no problems to extradite Wikileaks founder Julian Assange, who has not even been charged, to Sweden for interview with prosecutors. Have they not heard of Skype?)
Brotherhood is Calling the Shots in Cairo
The Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt posted a strong statement against Israel , saying that Israel must be stopped from mounting an attack on the Gaza. "We will never enable Israel to attack the Gaza Strip." The government in Cairo has said nothing about the mounting violence from Gaza.
Quote of the Week:
"The state's legal establishment must understand that democracy is not just a mechanism to advance the establishment of a Palestinian state and the destruction of settlements in Judea and Samaria. The public may choose a new path - and reject the path of Disengagement and Oslo - as it chose in the last elections, when the Likud was elected to lead the state." - Daniel Tauber, Likud Anglos Executive Director - New path must be set and achived. Israel has no other option!

PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas threw cold water on President Barack Obama's election victory, answering the president with a direct "no" after Obama told him his administration is opposed to the PA's unilateral move for recognition by the United Nations General Assembly.
Abbas' blunt "no" underscored the new Middle East reality, where the PA chief feels he can snub the United States and bank on international opposition to the State of Israel's position for defensible borders, said analysts.
"There was a long telephone conversation between president Mahmud Abbas and Barack Obama," the Palestinian leader's spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeina told AFP. "Obama expressed the opposition of the United States to the decision to go to the UN General Assembly."
Abbas, who immediately launched a diplomatic war against Israel after taking over from Yasser Arafat following his death, turned Israel into the villain.
"Abbas cited the reasons and motives for the Palestinian decision to seek non-member statehood as continued Israeli settlement activity and Israeli aggression against citizens and property," Abu Rudeina said.
The White House later issued a conciliatory statement, stating that the president "reiterated the United States' opposition to unilateral efforts at the United Nations" in the call to Abbas and "reaffirmed his commitment to Middle East peace and his strong support for direct negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians with the objective of two states living side by side in peace and security."
Abbas has stated that winning Non-Member Observer status from the United Nations, based on the PA's own territorial and political demands, will pave the wavy for "negotiations," meaning Israel's acceptance of his terms... (Only Israel is not allowed to snub/offend anyone! Israel needs to stop endless and useless negotiations with terrorists and begin implementing the Jewish national agenda - see t he Sinai Option!)
