Fatah actively teaches children that death is needed for what it calls the "revolution." It wrote on its Facebook "Main Page": "There is a seed in the soil; if you water it with blood, it will sprout a revolution." The statement was accompanied by a photo of a man in military uniform holding a rifle and standing next to the Palestinian flag, overlooking a large gathering:
"Teach your children to love the soil.
Teach them that we live in misery.
Teach them that there is a seed in the soil;
if you water it with blood,
it will sprout a revolution."

Fatah,
headed by Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, has posted
similar statements in the past, promoting murder and Martyrdom:
"Machine gun, wake up the sleeping and tell them

"My homeland taught me that it is the blood of Martyrs (Shahids)
that draws the borders of the homeland."

Recently, Palestinian Media Watch exposed that the PA-associated educational youth magazine Zayzafuna published a poem glorifying Martyrdom death for Allah (Shahada) in three different issues of the magazine. Part of the poem spoke of watering "the tree of the homeland with your free blood":
"If you have watered the tree of the homeland
with your free blood, with love,
and have offered the remnants of your bodily parts
as a bridge for those who are yet to come
- Then you're a Palestinian!"

The
advisory board of the magazine includes PA Deputy Minister of Education
Jihad Zakarneh and the Head of the Media Department of the PA Ministry
of Education, Abd Al-Hakim Abu Jamous.
PMW has documented that the PA and Fatah have expressed the ideal of children dying for Palestine in the past. At a celebration attended by PA and Fatah officials in 2012, young children sang the following:
"My pure land,
I shall saturate you with my blood...
redeem you with my life."

At a Fatah celebration in Lebanon that same year, this message was shown as part of a slideshow:
"Our children... were created to be fertilizer
for the land of Palestine and to saturate our pure land with their blood."
