Just like a dis-functional family will not survive.

One Jewish nation with Jerusalem as the capital has to be the unity for all those who are Zionists.

How to live in this nation, is for discussion, disagreement, and debate.

The Talmud and the Mishnah are not dead books. The fact that there are so many schools that encourage debate and interpretations attest to a change and a continuation in Jewish law and practice. With dialogue comes understanding and also disagreement, which has always been the core of Jewish life, as well as Jewish continuity.

Children at a young age are taught to question, discuss and evaluate, that's democracy at its core.

Those are the pillars of the Jewish nation that have made progress possible in such a short period of time.slgranadamarketinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13027002986070833316noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37178657.post-84120712509582044832009-06-06T18:16:36.419+03:002009-06-06T18:16:36.419+03:00Israel is not an occupier. Second, the Palestinian...Israel is not an occupier. Second, the Palestinian issue, began in 1947 with the Partition of Palestinian territory, which I constantly remind everyone. Those who lived in the area then, and now do not accept a Jewish state. That is the issue and the core that separates two people.
The West Bank cannot be compared to apartheid, the area itself has been an area that has not even accepted Jewish citizens to live there.
They are often referred to as settlements, rather than villages,
or towns, why?
If Arabs are able to live in Israel and even become part of the Knesset, then why are Jews unable to be integrated to an existing government? Why is there not that reciprocity?
The possibility that they may not want to be part of the government is another matter, however the fact that they are being ousted and not given full rights in an area where they reside remains a question. These places are seen as illegal, why? This area was won, won, during the 1967 Six Day War. There is nothing illegal about that.
If in 1967 there would have been no response from the then, Jordanians to attack Israel, then Israel, would have left them alone.
However, the fight for Jerusalem was a difficult one, once reunited, why should anyone even consider dividing a city. If it's divided now, it's by choice not by rule.
The current Palestinian problem could have been solved years ago; if it was the real agenda for some of the nations in the Middle East.
However, we must ask, is it the Palestinians that they want to save, or is it democracy that they want to destroy?
Israel, in all the wrongs or rights, remains a true democracy that has given freedom of speech even to everyone. Even government officials are judged, criticized,
and even verbally abused, threatened.
American liberals, and even Israeli liberals need to be reminded that this is the real threat today, and not how sympathetic Israelis are to Palestinians.
It's how to remain a democratic nation, in the midst of a neighborhood, that is only learning some of the vocabulary, but will take years to adapt, incorporate the new ideas and change a life style.
And then the question remains, do they want change?

WE as women are not satisfied with a little change, however, how many top leaders are women in the Middle East?
The role of women is a change, how is it viewed, how is it embraced?
Changes take a long time, and it's a process that people have to make.

How much democracy nations in the Middle East want to adopt remains the mystery, and the key for a solution.

Martin Luther King did not steal from his people, he worked tirelessly for their freedom. Palestinians cannot be compared to the Black movement, or the Civil Rights of the 60's in the US.
Theirs is an issue of liberation, but not liberation from Israel, but rather liberation from their own ideologies and traditions.slgranadamarketinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13027002986070833316noreply@blogger.com
